Workshop held with expert consultation group for the Geum River Revitalization Project

Approximate 100 consulting experts for the Geum River Revitalization Project had workshop with theme of proper countermeasure for climate change and future of the Geum River. The workshop was held in Educational Center of K-Water Corporation in November 23, SHIM Myeong-Phil (the head of Office of National River Restoration), a head of Daejeon Office of Management of National Territory, director of Office of the Geum River Basin Environment, and YU Byeong-Ro, professor of Hannam University. There have been sectional discussions and lectures on management methods for post-Four Major Rivers Restoration, stability of the dredged soils from the Geum River, health of lands and more. In the discussion, targeted water quality management and river status retention and the Eight Views of the Geum River as tourist attractions were discussed in deep level. There were additional topics about sustainable and comprehensive management and investments are needed by policy.
