The Juksan and Seungchon Weirs in the Yeongsan River Taking charge of revitalizing lifeline of the Region

The water quality of the Yeongsan as a lifeline for Honam Region indicates the worst level among national rivers. Therefore, we won the unsparing approval from the locals for the restoration project for the river. Two weirs are to be constructed in the Yeongsan River, the completion rate as of September 1stis 20.3%.

The Juksan Weir (the 2ndconstruction site) which will let royal robe ruggers passes.

With concept of 'Yeongsan rhyme flowing through Namdo (literally means southern region. Usually indicates southwestern region of the peninsular)', we tried to express the regional spirit and Yeongsan River's breathe. Considering the connection between watercourse of luggers and ancient ferry by Naju City, we maximized the effective value.

The Seungchon Weir, its shape comes from a grain of rice of the Naju Plains.

In the construction yard of the Seungchon Weir, you can feel the long time wish of the locals who yearn for vigorous energy to prevail again on dying river. The Seungchon Weir, its shape motivated from a grain of rice of the Naju Plains. The scenery of rotating pinwheel shows very dynamic view.
