In June 24, the Minister of Land, Transport and Maritime Affairs, Mr. JEONG Jong-Hwan said that the project will be completed up to 60% of the key process like construction of the weirs until the end of this year. He made a report like that in the briefing session of 'The Direction of Economic Policy in 2nd Half of 2010' in Gwacheon Government Office.
He emphasized also the fortification for promotion, "We would grapple with any obstacles in order to help general public comprehending transparently our project. For example, we are preparing field experience to the sites of this project for people." He continued, "Listening to people's opinions, we will supplement and compensate the plan in expansively way." As to the precautious system for floods, "Before rainy season, we will completely dredge, dismantle temporary trench walls and inspect the water siphon facilities with thorough investigation to cope with disaster," Mr. JEONG reasserted.
