Nigerian delegation to benchmark Korean Four Major Rivers Restoration Project

Desmond Akawor, the Nigerian ambassador to Korea, and 6 Nigerian corporate representatives visited 'the Office of National River Restoration' at June 14. This visit had its purpose on examining the potential of technology exchange in future between two countries and on benchmarking the Four Major Rivers Restoration Project.

Nigeria is also under its active preparation of establishing four rivers enhancement project. Port Halcourt region in Nigeria facing the Ghinea Bay has been suffering from frequent inundation and flood damages. In this point, that has resemblances with our project. Minister, Mr. SHIM Myeong-Phil and our experts gave them briefing about simulation and present status on the Four Rivers Integrated Management System. At that place, Nigerian delegation showed affirmative reaction about our Four Major Rivers Restoration Project and Office of National River Restoration reached agreement with them on keeping close correlations for further relevant technology exportation.
