Main structures of the Buyeo Weir include pedestrian overpass, small hydro-power plant, natural type fishways and observatory deck. The length of the weir is 620m(movable part 120m and static part 500m), and the movable weir is 2-grade shell gate type so that can maintain the level and control the flow. The small hydro-power plant adopted the Kaplan turbine suitable for high-flow & low-head system. The fishways are going to be made for easy move to all kind of fishes and to be installed as the natural type with beautiful design. The pedestrian overpass will be of 70m-long and 7m-wide. Observatory deck is going to be used as a convenient facility for the visitors and also used as a turn space for working vehicles.
Provided the construction of the Buyeo Weir is completed, sufficient flux and water-friendly space will be so secured that shipping service with luggers would come to be possible again. By rearranging the obsolete river ports(inclu. Jinbeon and Banjowon port) and by developing the history experience course, the local economy is expected to be reinvigorated.
