Clicking the button written as 'the Four Rivers Eco Maps Web Contents' (on the right side of the main page of 'www.4rivers.go.kr', the official website about the project promotion), then you can see the four glittering spots on your screen. Entering inside by clicking the menu, you would see the basic information about the origin of the rivers and their history in milestone style. In each articles arranged in an easily accessible manner, you would read the detailed information. When you click one of the river stream images, you will see the additional information about the local areas surrounding the river. When you push the Bukhan River of Chuncheon among the many streams of the Han River, for instance, you will meet the four article boxes of 'Species Information', 'River Information', 'Legally-managed areas', and 'the Four Rivers Restoration Project' with satellite image on background. These four menus are also classified as each three to seven sub-menus.
If you move your cursor on the button saying 'Fishes' to click, images of diverse fishes living in the Bukhan River will be shown on your monitor. Those were arranged on the Location-Based Information and database about birds, mammals, amphibians, reptiles and plants built by the national research for natural environment. In case of the article of aquatic system health, we followed the research result done by NIER (National Institute of Environmental Research) and the ministry of Environment. By marking as A, B, C, and D degrees about the riparian environment, we made the map help you to recognize the degree of environmental health.
