Eco Tour courses User-Selectable

The Eco Tour map has been made to show the eco-tour-worthy sites among the four rivers aquatic systems. Out of the data from the eco tour information of the Ministry of environment, tourist attractions strongly recommended from the local municipalities, and the data for designing weirs, with the data for designing the vegetated waterways as the center, the final 45 places was selected.

Total 45 places (the 9 spots in the Han River area, 23 spots in the Nakdong River, 9 spots in Geum River and 4 spots in Yeongsan River) was chosen after more than three times of the field survey mainly concentrated on the candidate areas by local municipalities.

The Eco Tourist Map is so made user-friendly composition that you may visit to find out easily. Since its composition is classified as Eco Tour course (Wild Animals, Fishes, Eco Simulation Pavilion, Habitat for Migratory Birds and Wetland), course by means of transportations (on foot, by bicycle, etc.) and the courses by the time required for sightseeing, you can take your pick at your taste when you ready to go.

The Fish Theme Tour Course shows you the information of fish-related like spawning ground, migration route and fishways.

On the Visitor Map about the habitats for migratory birds including the estuaries of the Nakdong River, Geum River and the Upo Swamp and the Junam Reservoir, the information of the migratory birds, the location of observatories are so introduced that you will find them out useful. The wetlands tour course includes the Janghang Wetland(in the Han River), the Daepyeong Swamp, Gamjeon, Panmun Swamp (in the Nakdong River), Hwayang Wetland (in the Geum River). The eco-park tour courses became to cover the detailed information of 'miho spine loach' (Iksookimiachoii) (in the Geum River) designated as a natural monument animal, Samlak Wetland Eco Park(in the Nakdong River)and Dumulmeori Wetland Reservation.


The Office of National River Restoration plans to start Eco-Map Service via online so that anyone can download it. The Ministry of Land, Transport, and Maritime Affairs is going to keep on monitoring to update the Eco Maps about the four rivers.
