A little wish from a citizen

Mr. A is in his late 50s and is about to retire. He has worked overseas, so he couldn’t live with his family for a long time. His wish after retirement is to spend time with his family. Recently, he came home for a holiday and talked about his wish after retirement to his family. “The 4 major rivers restoration project will be completed in 3 years and when I come back home, I want to ride a bicycle along the rivers with my family.”

As our society turns into an aging society, life after retirement become a more serious issue. After retirement, we cannot afford to spend money as we do when we work. That is the reason that Mr. A welcomes the 4 major rivers restoration project.

He judges he can enjoy leisure activities well with affordable budget travelling along the 4 major rivers where various cultural and recreational facilities are provided. As he lived apart from his family, he wants to spend time together with his family as much as possible, and the 4 major rivers restoration project will provide him with an opportunity to do so.

In addition to the water quality improvement and prevention of flood, this project will provide a new culture. The purpose of the project includes developing resources for tourism, leisure and cultural industry and revitalizing local economy by building waterfront towns, and providing local people with cultural spaces and clean environment. Mr. A will be able to travel along the 4 major rivers with his family as he wishes.
