Nakdan Weir - "Buddhism Culture Complex with rock cliff Buddha as the center"
The Nakdan Weir became famous thanks to a rock cliff Buddha which was incidentally found during the Project. The discovery had entire architecture changed except the main structure of weir. Integrated Management Center building which was originally planned to be built on the very place of discovered monument was moved beside the weir with core facilities including power control, while PR pavilion was moved to upstream. Riparian areas would also be improved with reflecting the Buddhism-related theme. As of July 6, along the steep left bank where the rock cliff Buddha found, concrete retaining wall construction is under progress. In order to make the front area of the rock cliff Buddha as Buddhism Culture space, the authority decided to enlarge the necessary space for that. To find out another historical property which might sleep under the ground, they already diverted the road to secure the sufficient space for excavation for further assets. The Nakdan Weir will be connected to the road on the left bank in where the rock cliff Buddha is located. Thanks to the incidentally discovered cultural asset, the Nakdan Weir and its environs became to have potential tourist attraction. Another characteristic of the weir is the roof of winch, which became the talk of the town due to the eaves line well-imitated the Gwansuru, the neighboring scenic spot.
