The Ministry of Culture, Sports, and Tourism with Korea Tourism Organization and Korail Tourism Development has been operat ing the Green Bike trains in 7 regions of Okchun, iksan, dalsung, sangju, milyang, naju, and gumi from September 24 to November 19. Customers can visit areas of the four rivers to experience the fresh wind on a bike alongside the river.
The Ministry of Culture, Sports, and Tourism declared that they have brought “Green Bike Trains” to the public with the completion of the weirs in the four rivers, initiating a new experience for the citizens to recognize the beauty of our rivers, while providing the easy way to embrace “bike culture” that had only been activated among the groupies before.
The Green Bike Train runs connected to the autumn municipal festivals including Iksan Seodong Festival, Sangju Dried Per simmon Fes t i val , Mir yang Ice Valley Apple Festival, Yeongsan River Cultural Festival, and etc with a bike ride program. On the train heading to the destination, various recreation activities such as ‘7080 Concert’ and lectures with special guests are presented to passengers.
