The Four Major Rivers Restoration Project contributes to the increase of biodiversity

Out of the governmental investment (KRW 3.9 billion, equivalent to U$ 3,260 million) upon the Project, it is expected that we could keep the clean water quality thanks to the environmental core facilities of  sewage treatment plants which block the contaminants from the ground. In addition to that, with preparing the restoration of ecological streams, ecological wetlands, alternative habitats, natural type fishways, we keep going on the eco-friendly projects helping revitalizing the original function of rivers and autochthonous ecosystems. Hereby riparian ecosystem and biodiversity will be more and more proliferated so that our future generation would inherit the everlasting four rivers with healthy and vitalized environment.
