Danish Prime Minister, Big Interest in Green Growth and the 4-River Project

The Danish Prime minister, Lars Rasmussen who arrived in Seoul on March 10th for three day visit, showed big interest on the Four Rivers Restoration Project. After finishing summit talk in the Blue House, he visited 'Green Growth Experience Pavilion' installed inside of Dongshin Building located in Gwanghwamun, Seoul. Prime Minister Rasmussen looked around the LED lighting, home lighting, Electronic automobiles, Built-in Urban Farm system, and then, was told about the Four Rivers Restoration Project from Shim Myung-Phil, the Head Officer of National River Restoration.

Rasmussen posed a question to Mr. Shim whether the project is executed in stepwise manner or not. For this Mr. Shim answered, "We progress the whole thing in batch processing". He continued to reply, "Major constructions are going to be completed by the end of 2011, and the other constructions would be finished in 2012". He continued. "The Four Rivers Restoration Project is the Green New Deal Policy in Korean style and a part of Green Growth Policy.

Ultimately, the project would revive the lands and rivers suffering from contamination and will be run all around in the Han River, the Geum River, Yeongsan River and Nakdong River. Danish Prime Minister Rasmussen showed his interests by clicking the screen-touch monitor while the explanation. After finishing look around the pavilion, Rasmussen moved to the conference room to watch short film titled as 'Green Growth is the solution for the Crisis of Earth' and then gave his impression about Korean green growth. Rasmussen said, "It was impressive that active promotion about the fact that green growth does not get away people's convenience. Not only are the politicians but also the ordinary people altogether responsible for the Green growth". Danish Prime Minister Rasmussen underlined on that Korea and Denmark are to make collaboration on green growth including energy saving and renewable energy resources with spirit of complementary cooperation.
