In Chungju, Chungcheongbuk-do (Northern Chungcheong Province), there will be created total 7 green roads. The city already announced the plan of completion paving Sojoryeong-gil (‘gil’ means road, way: 36km), Haneuljaegil (1.8 km), and premium tree-lined bicycle way (34.8km). Additionally, until the end of the year, Binae Sasaek’ui-gil (Meditation Way, 8km), Four Major Rivers Bike Path (46.38㎞) are to be opened. Additional 12.3km new eco-friendly roads will be newly paved along the Chungju Lake. The Binae-gil (Binae Way, 10km from Neungam-ri to Jocheon-ri, Angseong-myeon) will be equipped with trekking course as well as observatory, rest area and nature experience pavilion until the year’s end. The city prospects that Binae-gil Road would attract over one million of tourists a year in affiliation with Tansan Spa, Antique Art Avenue, Han-u (Korean Cow) Village, Central Pagoda Park. The Jadeurak-gil (Hill Road) on the Cheongpung Lake, Jecheon County, is also on the timetable. You can see new Jadeurak-gil of 53.2km which stretches to Cheongpung Cultural Asset Complex late last year. The all the course is devided into 6 sectors with Cheongpung Lake as centered. Walking on the trekking course along the beautiful Cheongpung Lake will fascinate visitors.
