Dear 20 millions of Buddhists and devotees of Samhwa Buddhism Sect

About 80 Buddhist monks and devotees from Samhwa Buddhism sect, Jogyejong visited the Ipo Weir in the Han River. Samhwa Buddhism sect of Jogyejong is the 3rd largest Buddhism denomination, it is in command of 800 temples and 2.5 millions of devotees. After visiting the construction sites of the project, they announced a statement longing for successful completion of the project. The followings were cited from the original announcement statement.

The Four Major Rivers Restoration Project which is currently under active process is a meaningful and grand project for reviving our country's lifelines and initial approach for global warming and climate change in order for adapt and countermeasure for them. Therefore, this project could contribute to prevent flood, resolve incoming water shortage problem, revive stagnant local economy and act as a guiding angel for our next generation from natural disaster which would have caused by climate change in near future. Therefore the importance is too crucial to explain in one sentence.

Upon this great and historic steps of the project, some part of our Buddhism orders have stance against the project so that is misreportedly reproduced in expansed scale. It is worring that exaggeration as if whole the Buddhists are against the project. The opponents' insist like, 'Only one fish or one leaf of grass cannot be hurt by the project'. However, I cannot find our similar interpretation from the Buddhist scriptures. That is obviously false assumption which cannot be interpreted by any phrases of Buddhist scriptures, I firmly say that.
