Committee of National Construction Policies

No more misunderstanding as Grand Canal

The 17 members of the Committee of National Construction Policies visited the site of the Ipo Weir on the Han River Area 3 and artificial wetland park in the Gyeongan Stream on July 14th. They have posed some questions about the treatment and contamination problem on dredged soils and got the answers from the officials. They ordered more deliberate explanation for general people. For instance, since the Han River's depth is average 3 meter so not to accept the entrance of ships, people misunderstand to recognize the project as Grand Canal Project because of the Weirs height of 6 meter high. Although the ships cannot across the weirs, however people with false information tend to guess that government is scheming Grand Canal Project. To resolve these misunderstanding is what government has to do.
