Members of OECD Urban Policy Advisory Council visit the Ipo and Gangcheon Weir

Dr. Adam Ostry (advisor of Urban Policy, OECD), Dr. Ju Jong-wan and Dr. Kim Sujin (analyst of economic policy) paid a visit to the Ipo Weir and Gangcheon Weir in the Han River on July 14. They came to Korea for the review on the urban policy. And then, they came to make a surprise visit to the site of the history-making project. They had a Q&A session on the regional development, role of local governments, invigoration of small businesses and job creation. After looking around the site of the Project, they said that their curiosity about the Project was satiated and this Project seemed to be a firm infrastructure for balanced development of national land with boosting the competitive edge of local areas.
