Governor of Jeonnam Prov. and assemblymen visit the Seungchon Weir

The assemblymen based on Jeonnam Province and members of regional assembly paid a visit to the site of the Seungchon Weir in the Yeongsan River with the provincial governor. The Governor Park addressed, “I specially thank to everyone concerned to the project and its smooth process to the completion.” He also asked for safety until the final stroke, stressing the dredging on the tributaries for more flawless flood protection plan. Senator Lee Nak-yeon and Yu Seon-ho requested the best preparation against possible disaster in the confluences of the tributaries and more reflection of collected residents’ opinions to the project. That day, regional TV channels of Gwangju MBC and KBS Gwangju as well as presses of Gwangju Ilbo, Jeonnam Ilbo and so forth covered the field.
